First IULH World Championship Show.


The French Leonberger  Club has the honor of organizing the first edition of the IULH World Championship on September 19, 2020.

The IULH (Internationale Union Für Leonberger Hunde), which brings together 21 breed clubs from around the world (including the French Leonberger Club), aims to promote the breed of Leonberg Dog internationally, to standardize interpretation of the standard but also provide recommendations in terms of breeding according to the state of the world herd.

Thanks to this World Championship, Leonbergs from around the world will meet for a weekend in Cluny:

Friday September 18 TAN, TRR and confirmation tests.
Saturday, September 19, IULH World Championship.
Sunday, September 20, National Leonberger Club Show, confirmation

During the World Cup, the following titles will be awarded:
IULH Hope: best baby male and best baby female.
IULH Young Promise: best male puppy and best female puppy.
IULH Junior World Championship: best young male and best young female.
IULH World Championship Winner: best male and best female from the intermediate, open, work and champion classes.
IULH Veteran World Championship Winner: best male veteran and best female veteran.

The CACS will also be awarded to the winner of the intermediate, open and work classes. It will have the value of a breed special.

A panel of 7 judges will be responsible for determining the best dogs for this show.
Judges: Per Kr. Andersen (NO), Valérie Bontems (FR), Willi Güllix (DE),  Guido Perosino (IT), Natalia Romanova (RUS),
José Félipé Ruiz Castenada (ES), Thomas Walker (AT).

The IULH show will also be a meeting and demonstration place for our Leonbergs in the different disciplines where they excel: agility, dog dancing, harnessing, water work, etc.
